What am I and
what do I do?

You may notice some INCODO air equipment around your building. This can include:

INCODO, Air Quality Monitors<br />

Air Quality Monitors

Monitor general air quality variables, including Particulate Matter (PM2.5 and PM10), Carbon Dioxide, Temperature, and Humidity, constantly.

This can also provide a Reset Viral Index1 that indicates the potential for airborne viral transmission.

Provides real-time and historical data.

INCODO, HEPA Air Purifiers

HEPA Air Purifiers

Constantly purifies the air. Incodo uses medical-grade HEPA-13 filters that are proven to remove 99.97% of airborne particles and allergens down to a tiny 0.3 microns. That includes the capture of fine particulates including dust, pollens, fungal spores, bacteria and viruses2, 3.

The filters INCODO uses are the first to market in N.Z., specifically proven to remove 99.97% of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) and 99.99% of Influenza A virus particles4.

They also contain an activated carbon filter layer that can assist with smells of smoke and odour.

INCODO, HEPA Air Scrubbers

HEPA Air Scrubbers

They constantly purify the air and are essentially larger air purifiers for large spaces.

Due to their noise, they may be programmed to run after hours.

Filters and specialised air equipment in your building:

The HEPA air purifiers and scrubbers filter and clean indoor air. They capture potentially harmful particles and are proven to be one option that can significantly reduce airborne risks.

The goal is for the air in a room to pass through the filter frequently. The higher the fan speed, the more efficient it is at removing airborne particulates. However, higher fan speeds can be noisy, and excessive noise can cause disruptions.

Equipment is set to operate at what is expected to be the maximum tolerated noise level for a given space and its uses. As mentioned, scrubbers may be programmed to run after hours, or multiple units may be installed in a single space.

INCODO Air equipment is specifically installed to ensure the air quality is improved with minimal disruption.

Air equipment is installed in specific areas to supplement a building’s existing ventilation and support with monitoring and/or improving air quality in regions that may require assistive air purification.

Please do not disrupt the power supply, move units, or alter settings.

They must be left to run as installed. You don’t have to do anything; equipment will be periodically serviced and maintained to ensure it is working efficiently.

INCODO Air Quality Protection

If an air purifier displays a blue, orange, or red colour, is it providing hot or cold air?

No, air purifiers only clean the air; they do not alter the air temperature. The units contain a simple dust sensor that measures the amount of Particulate Matter in the air. Approximate levels are indicated by colour.

However, these sensors can be impacted by various factors and can provide false negatives, such as orange or red lighting. INCODO uses professional-grade air quality testing equipment for more reliable information about air quality.

Can I move any of the air quality equipment or turn it off?

No. Please do not move, alter or turn off any of the equipment. It is specifically installed and set up to optimize the air quality.

If you have any questions, please ask building management. INCODO also owns the equipment, and its location is recorded. If items are moved and subsequently lost, this can incur costs.

I see INCODO Air equipment in other offices or spaces, but not mine, why not?

Our specialised equipment supplements a building’s existing ventilation and is installed to achieve specific outcomes.

If your area does not have Equipment, the existing ventilation is likely sufficient to provide good air quality to your space. However, if you have concerns, please see building management.
